Coworker Obituaries
Slack
It's week 3 of my new job. Besides being new and a little meek to reach my branches out, it's been going well enough. I'm well versed in IT ass kissing, so the few tickets I've taken on have been a breeze.
2 people in my site died already.
1st person last week, and another person this week.
Separate people in separate locations.
Their coworkers mourned their losses in slack channels and meetings.
...
Never seen this happen before - a coworker dying.
Albeit, I hardly know anyone in this company, so I couldn't say much about them.
The friend of the person who died today posted a few words and a picture of them in a general slack channel to let people know. There were lots of sentiments and people saying great things about them.
Not even an hour later in that general chat, someone posts a crusty ass meme. Some unfunny poop you'd see from grandma's facebook.
If I die on this job, I pray to your god that I am not represented through 30 heart emojis, and a memebase image.
Just chewed up by corporate dribble. Essentially a Garfield memorial.
It was sad to see.

Like bro read the room what the fuck were you thinking lol.
Don't post that Top-Text Bottom-Text horse shit RIGHT after the memorial post.
